Joanne founded ConnellyWorks, Inc. in 2003 to provide a new level of marketing communications support to companies in the public sector IT market. She formed the company after a long career as a Washington, DC-based reporter and editor for a range of publications, including Federal Computer Week. She also has held senior level positions in private industry, helping technology companies tell their story in the government space. An accomplished writer, editor, business developer and leader, Joanne has recruited an industry-leading team to develop strategic and tactical campaigns that increase market share for clients. Under her leadership, ConnellyWorks’ has acquired a diverse portfolio of hardware, software and services companies in the public sector IT market. She is an active participant in the community, serving on the steering committee of the Government Marketing Forum, serving in leadership positions for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Bethesda, Maryland chapter, as well as serving as the Chair of the Children’s Inn annual gala for multiple years.
